Welcome to Delmar Farm
Healing Through Horses. Empowering Through Connection.
Delmar Farm is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit equine and farm animal sanctuary providing a safe, loving, lifelong home to more than 70 animals.
Our sanctuary family includes horses, donkeys, pigs, goats, sheep, a steer, dogs, and cats. Many of our animals are rescues, seniors, have special needs, or were entrusted to our care when their families could no longer provide for them.
But Delmar Farm is more than a sanctuary for animals.
We believe in the incredible connection between people and animals and its ability to teach compassion, responsibility, empathy, and trust. Through educational programs, mentorship, and emotionally supportive experiences, our animals help us create meaningful opportunities for children and adults to learn, connect, and heal.
Every animal has a story. Every person who comes through our programs has one, too. At Delmar Farm, those stories come together.
Our mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals while creating educational and emotionally enriching experiences through meaningful human-animal connections.
Our programs continue to grow and evolve, reaching hundreds of children and adults each year and allowing the animals who found sanctuary here to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.

We take care of them for life. Many of our horses are "undesirables" due to age, ailments or usefulness. Most people don't want to take on the burden of feeding a horse that isn't useful to them or is special needs because it is very costly. Our rescued farm animals have added another dimension to the sanctuary and their care is individualized and safely managed. They have all contributed immensely with our educational programs and emotional therapy.
