Delmar Farm is a 501c3 nonprofit equine sanctuary and animal rescue dedicated to providing lifelong homes to all of its residents which currently include 20 horses, ponies, miniature horses, and donkeys, 5 goats, 5 pigs, one mini cow, one sheep, a barn cat and 10 dogs . The majority of our animals are rescues, special needs, seniors or have been donated to us. Our equines help us to educate so many children and adults through our programs. We are passionate about teaching responsibility, respect, and compassion for animals. Our animals are all extremely safe and well seasoned - kid tested and mother approved! We love being able to share their love with so many and provide memory making experiences. Our mission is to help animals though our care, help with rescue as much as we can and to provide educational and healing classes through our programs and with the love of our animals, both in and out of the saddle. Our programs are always evolving and benefit hundreds of children each year.
We believe that children will lead the way for the protection and care of animals in the future. By creating compassion between children and animals, we hope to be part of that path. You can help us continue.
Delmar Farm ES is also the official South Florida Satellite Adoption Center for Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue. We almost always have adorable sweet rescue donkeys available for adoption.
STARRING OUR RESIDENTS AND THEIR GUESTS
We take care of them for life. Many of of our horses are "undesirables" due to age, ailments or usefulness. Most people don't want to take on the burden of feeding a horse that isn't useful to them or is special needs because it is very costly. But our residents are worth their weight in gold to us because of what they give to children and adults through our programs. While they may be past their prime or not be able to do very much in the ring, they still have so much to offer.
They require good nutrition, proper hoof care, worming, medications, supplements and vet visits. The average cost just to feed one horse is $250 per month. With everything else, it becomes very costly. Plus the constant upkeep of the farm is draining. Our programs don't nearly cover the cost of the care of the animals. Your donations can help us to continue to provide all of this! Please consider helping! Your monthly donation will help one to several horses depending on the amount you give. There's several ways to donate: PayPal, Venmo, and Patreon just to name a few easy options! We're a 501C3 nonprofit organization so donations are tax deductible!
Delmar Farm isn’t just about horses! We are home to critters of all shapes and sizes! Most of the critters are rescued animals and offer so much to the children who are fortunate enough to visit and spend time with them. It’s an experience like no other where the children can explore through touch and wonder. They learn how to safely and respectfully approach the animals and spend time petting, hugging and sharing compassion and mutual trust. ❤️
The Critter Corner is full of love! Stroll down our Mushroom Ally, a whimsical pathway that leads to this wonderful area full of exploration.

Dunkin is the reason I became the adoption center for rescued donkeys. I never knew how affectionate and smart donkeys were until I adopted him a few years ago. Donkeys make great companions and wonderful additions to any farm!
